2nd Age Elf Armor from the prologue of the Lord Of the Rings trilogy. This took me about a year to make only ever having the weekends to work on it. Can't see it all but there's about 27 yards of fabric on this thing, and it's made from sintra plastic, boat trimming, garage sale signs, craft foam, paper mache.. You name it. The cape is two-toned and is really darker than it appears, but when photographed only the gold seems to really pop and no.. You can't sit down in this thing. ;0)

i can't believe this doesn't have a million comments. it's amazing! i love the juxtaposition between the soft fabric and the armor...i wouldn't want to mess with this guy, even if he is wearing a pretty sash (: great job on the colouring too, the green undertone makes it look strong & forged and lithe & natural all at the same time. a fine example of elven craftsmanship indeed (:
